TWO men who allegedly shot at a former Casey mayor’s house last month have been granted bail.
On 5 July, Berwick resident and Mordialloc Liberal MP Lorraine Wreford’s house was sprayed with bullets over an alleged $5000 drug debt owed by her eldest son, a court heard.
One of five men, allegedly involved in the shooting was bailed on Friday with a number of conditions, and is to return to court on 10 October. Another man allegedly involved in the shooting was bailed earlier this month.
Ms Wreford has taken leave of duties and travelled overseas after the shooting, but is expected to return to Australia in time for the resumption of Parliament on 16 August.
