ADULT learners were recognised and awarded as part of Adult Learners Week at Narre Community Learning Centre last Friday.
The special event celebrated community strengthening and the centre’s disadvantaged learners’ achievements.
Awards went to VCAL Seniors for Class of the Year, Bianca Mills-Ellul for Tutor of the Year, and Deborah McLaughlin for Learner of the Year.
Lynette Loveless won the Marie Dunning Memorial Volunteer of the Year Award, Beverley Sullivan won the June Thompson Memorial Mature Age Achiever Award, and Jacob Arnel won the Courtney Park Memorial Youth Award.
CEO of Narre Community Learning Centre Wayne Hewitt said that everybody who had changed their life to become an adult learner was a winner.
