GET involved in a range of activities during the Wildflower Festival at the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne on Sunday 9 October.
Visitors can take part in yoga among the wildflowers, bushwalks, photography, botanical art and much more to lighten the body and soul.
Best of all is the chance to see the eruption of colour of wildflowers throughout the bushland and in the Australian Garden, inspiration for the recent gold medal award winning Australian Garden Show Garden at this year’s 1RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Among the spring wildflower display are the Circus Triggerplant, a dazzling plant from Western Australia that is covered with a layer of many small pink flowers and a spectacular flowering lily with no common name, which in spring produces gorgeous deep blue star-like flowers.
Wildflower photography will go from 9.15am to 11.15am, yoga from 9.30am to 10.30am, massages from 11am to 4pm, wildflower walk from 11am to noon, art from noon to 3pm, native garden talk from 9.30am to 1.30pm and a damper feast from 9am to 5pm.
Entry into the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne is free, but prices for each event vary.
