ABOUT 500 students from six primary schools participated in a friendly competition for the Gleneagles Cup this week.
Gleaneagles Secondary College Year 9 students ran the sporting event on Monday for primary students from Mossgiel Park, Southern Cross, Thomas Mitchell, Hallam, Narre Warren North and Chalcot Lodge primary schools.
Assistant principal Paul Thorne said Mossgiel Park was the winner of the Gleneagles Cup, but all students had fun.
“It was such a great day,” Mr Thorne said.
“The Year 9 students did sessions with the primary school students before the big event. Then they planned it and had interaction with staff from different schools and parent helpers to make this great community event.
“I think it promotes good will between secondary and primary school students as well as within the community.”
A win for all
