ENDEAVOUR HILLS was beaten soundly in its two-dayer against Brighton in Victorian Sub-District Cricket, with Jesse Seven belting 134 from 149 balls, with seven fours and seven sixes.
Brighton scored 7/220 in reply to the Hills’ 145, with other contributions from Nathan Bird (28) and Kim Teschendorff (27).
Daniel Evans took 4/69 off 20 overs for Endeavour Hills, but without any other multiple wicket-takers, Endeavour Hills struggled to stop the onslaught of Seven.
Brighton was set 146 to win, after bowling out Endeavour Hills last weekend for 145, with top scorers Richard Evans (32) and Chris Peake (22) unable to push on to bigger scores. The Hills slumped to 6/106 before some lower order runs from Neil Peake and Richard Saniga boosting the final total.
The Hills face Malvern in a one-dayer next Saturday at Malvern City Oval.
