THE latest trends for men and women heated up the catwalk during the Westfield Fountain Gate Redevelopment Parade last week.
Models posing as construction workers opened the parade to highlight the centre’s $320million redevelopment before strutting the latest styles in front of keen shoppers.
Bright colours, white on white, boho floral and statement jewellery dominated the fashion show, which was held twice on Friday and twice on Saturday.
Trends for the ladies include big sunnies, bright coloured pumps, clashing colours and patterns and statement flowers worn in the hair or on their frocks.
The men wore preppy outfits including light-coloured suits, fitted shirts and shorts and a hint of colour.
Stylist Jo Blankfield said the parade was a perfect opportunity for people to see a lot of great pieces from a range of retailers at Westfield Fountain Gate.
“The looks are in trend but still wearable,” Ms Blankfield said.
“We are seeing a lot of colour blocks and colour pops, minimal white which is fresh for summer, and a lot of ladylike looks.”
The show also featured statement jewellery and headpieces for the upcoming Spring Carnival.
Ms Blankfield and stylist Lucy Kiraly will also be hosting a fashion workshop at 2pm on 21 and 22 October and are also available to hire for personal styling.
