A MAN, who claims he was involved in a collision with a police car during a high speed pursuit, is asking for a witness to come forward.
Frank Frood, 46, said he was riding his Harley Davidson on Somerville Road, Hampton Park, about 11am on 12 October when the crash occurred.
“There was a police helicopter in the air and a police car came out of a street further up. The police car stopped in the middle of the road and both police officers were looking left and turning right, and I ran into them and my leg hit the police car and hood,” Mr Frood said.
“I pulled over to the left side of the road and they drove off. An old man said he had the registration of the car but he gave me the wrong number- one number was missing. He witnessed it all.”
Mr Frood said two other police officers met him at a doctor’s clinic shortly after the crash. Mr Frood said the doctor told him he had damage to his leg.
Mr Frood asked that the man who had seen the crash call him on 9798 0981.
A spokesperson for Police Media said a complaint had been made to Narre Warren police station in relation to an alleged incident on 12 October, but no members have been suspended over the alleged incident.
