Kilberry Valley Primary School’s top readers

MORE than 900 Kilberry Valley Primary School students took part in the Premier’s Reading Challenge this year.
Kilberry Valley Primary School had one of the highest numbers of students completing the Challenge, which is now in its sixth year an1mote a love of reading and encourages students to read broadly.
Narre Warren South MP Judith Graley and former Premier of Victoria Joan Kirner congratulated the students for their participation in this year’s challenge and teacher Ros Carabott, who Ms Graley said did a fantastic job of enthusing young students to have a love of reading.
“Literacy is such an important part of learning and improving so it’s terrific to see students taking up the Challenge with such energy and enthusiasm,” Ms Graley said.
“The students at Kilberry Valley Primary School are champion readers in Victoria. Kilberry Valley Primary School has again excelled, with so many students reading over 100 books each,”
“Reading is an essential life skill and the Challenge encourages students to discover the wonder and excitement of a good book.”
