Primary school students flocked to Casey Fields on Monday to be coached by Melbourne Demons players, but not in football.
Instead, they were taught the benefits of reading with the Read Like a Demon Gala Day.
The event prompted students to discuss what they had learnt during the Read Like a Demon Program and share their experiences.
