Day to emerge

By LACHLAN MOORHEAD

DAFFODIL Day is an important initiative for many students across Australia. Not least of all those from Strathaird Primary School who rallied together last Friday to raise $957 for the Daffodil Day cause.
For several Strathaird students, they know someone who has cancer or who has survived it, including one of their own.
The school’s Daffodil team, made up of members of the Junior School Council, designed posters to help promote the day under the guidance of Council Coordinator Matthew Kennelly. The posters encouraged students to dress in yellow and donate a gold coin to support the initiative.
The gold coins were then placed around a daffodil drawing.
The school would like to thank the Strathaird community for their enormous generosity.
