THE stars will be out in Hampton Park next week as the Berwick Show Star Search holds its heats and fundraising event.
The community is invited along to the event on Sunday 9 February to watch talented singers and songwriters battle it out to earn a spot in the grand final which is being held at the Berwick Show next month.
There will be two heats held on the day at 12.30pm and 5.30pm at the Arthur Wren Hall in Hampton Park.
One of the organisers, Naomi Horsley, urged people to book a table and come along and watch the talent on offer.
All funds raised from the event will go towards the Cranbourne-Narre Relay for Life.
“There will be 14 performers per heat, with singers from the junior, senior and over 28s categories, competing for a spot in the grand final,” she said.
“People can purchase a meal, lunch or dinner and enjoy some great entertainment whilst supporting a fantastic cause.
“I encourage everyone to come along and support not only the performers who are competing for some fantastic cash prizes and recording studio time but also to help contribute towards such a wonderful cause – the Relay for Life.
“It’s only $10 for a day out with great entertainment and helping a great cause.”
As well as performances, the event will include a raffle and silent auction with prizes including a meat pack, personal training sessions, photography vouchers, Westfield vouchers, wine, signed football memorabilia and a high tea for four at Parliament House with return car transfer.
For bookings or more information call Ms Horsley on 0404 898 418 or email berwickshowstarsearch@hotmail.com.
Tickets for the event will be available at the door.
