Power to lead and succeed

By BRIDGET COOK

LES Twentyman will headline an event being held in Casey next month aimed at empowering people to pursue their career and life goals.
The Narre Warren Learning Centre will play host to A Day of Power and Leadership on Saturday 30 August.
Organised by the Power and Leadership Group, the day will consists of four notable speakers including a career coach, leadership and motivational speaker and life and youth empowerment coach.
Prominent youth outreach worker and community activist Les Twentyman is headlining the event and will give guests his talk on ‘the long and winding road, need not to be’.
The other speakers are Warren Freshe, one of Australia’s bestselling authors in career development, Brian McAleer who is an author and goal setting specialist, and Ryan Gomez who is an award winning motivational speaker and was the national public speaking runner up champion in 2011.
Mr Gomez said they were taking this event to many areas and endeavoured to help the community build leaders.
“All four of the speakers come together to help the community from youth empowerment, goal setting, career development and helping individuals pursue their passion and purpose,” he said.
“Our speakers are well respected and draw on a wealth of experience and know how to help people be motivated to be more, do more, and know more about being the best in their careers and life.
“We expect these people will also be keen to see how we can assist in helping people reach their goals and put a plan of action in place.”
Mr Gomez said the events aimed to attract people in the community who were keen to develop themselves and their careers, people who were passionate about life and its possibilities and aware setting goals and achieving them is possible.
The event will be held on Saturday 30 August from 10am to 3pm.
Cost is $10 and those interested must register.
