Medals for the asking

War medals among other items have been recovered by police from the Berwick area.

WAR medals have been recovered by police along with a sizeable amount of other property from different addresses in the Berwick area.
Narre Warren police officers are hoping to give the medals back to the rightful owner and have appealed to the public for help.
The medals were recovered by police in March this year and include some WWI campaign medallions.
Police have stated that some are miniature replicas and others are original full-sized campaign medals with the recipient’s name and service details stamped on the side of each one.
In a post on the official Casey Eyewatch Facebook page, an officer has said the items would be “very special to the owner”.
In the selection of recovered property there is also a blue coloured ‘Royal’ aftershave tin, a green coloured velvet jewellery storage case and a heart-shaped maroon coloured jewellery box.
Anyone that can assist in the police investigation is urged to contact the property officer at Narre Warren Police Station on 9705 3114.
