In its own words, The Escapees Theatre Company has been “on the run” for a decade.
What’s left behind from more than 30 shows is a “colourful explosion” of props, costumes, wigs, sets, photos and posters, says company director Alice Scerri.
The memorabilia will be exhibited at Hallam Senior College in July to mark the company’s 10th anniversary.
It also coincides with the premiere of the play Lemonade, written and directed by Lara Chamas.
Ms Scerri says it’s a beautiful play about a girl coming to terms with an unpromising diagnosis.
“She is going through the stages of grief, trying to come to terms with the news,” Ms Scerri says.
“It’s not all sad though, there’s some comedy in there too.”
The exhibition A Decade On The Run opens on 6 July, 7-9pm and runs until its closing on 20 July, 7-9pm.
Lemonade plays at Hallam Community Theatre, 74 Frawley Road, Hallam on 13-15 July. Details: trybooking.com/280991
