Seeking supermarket thief

Police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate a man they believe broke into a supermarket in Narre Warren South on Wednesday 5 June.
Police believe between 2.20 and 2.30am, the unknown man entered the staff office of the Foodworks IGA by jemmying open the rear door.
Once inside the man used a small crowbar in an attempt to gain access to the safe in the office.
Police think the man was targeting cash and cigarettes.
CCTV footage shows the man wearing a large blue jacket, blue jeans, black balaclava, yellow and black CAT brand gloves and black runners.
A silver car was also recorded at the scene and police are investigating if the car is linked to the break-in.
