A boy has left devastated after his BMX was allegedly pinched from his front door in Narre Warren South during the early hours of Friday 12 October.

CCTV captured the moment a man was loitering around Carranya Court about 1am before seen riding off with what is believed to be the boy’s bike.

“From what I saw on the video he’s just casually out scoping the area for anything that’s been left,” said the boy’s father Andrew Klat.

Mr Klat said his son, Logan, 12, was upset to lose his pride-and-joy, which is a Felt Ethic BMX, and cream and black in colour.

“Unfortunately it was just left by the front door; probably the first time he’s left it out,” he said.’

Mr Klat reported the missing bike to Narre Warren police who are investigating.

He said the bike was bought second hand about five years ago and kept in good condition.

“To replace it you’re probably talking about $700 but second hand probably get something for $350.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact Narre Warren police on 9705 3111.
