Police capsicum spray wild teen

Police have used capsicum spray following a scuffle with a teen outside Bunjil Place – just minutes before sacked Casey Councillors attended their final meeting on Tuesday 18 February.

Police were called to Fountain Gate Shopping Centre about 4.45pm after reports two girls had damaged basins in the public toilets.

Senior constable Alistair Parsons said police located a girl fitting the description of one of the persons at Bunjil Place about 6pm.

“As they were talking to her a second teen attended and obstructed police,” Sen Cons Parsons said.

“Police attempted to arrest both teens and O/C spray was deployed,” he said.

Star News observed two police officers restraining one of the teens before pouring a bottle of water over the girl’s eyes after capsicum spray was used. Both the 15-year-old girls, from Cranbourne and Frankston, were taken into custody.

Police are investigating the damage.
