Prehistoric enthusiasts of all ages are encouraged to pop on down to the Wilson Botanic Park in Berwick this school holidays, as part of the Dino Safari.
As part of the council’s Winter Arts Festival, a Brachiosaurus, a T-Rex and a Velociraptor can be found throughout the park grounds, with daily sessions starting from 9.30am.
Casey Council manager of creative communities Emily Clarke said the council was pleased to see the popularity of the event.
“Our ticket allocation sold out, so we have added extra tickets to ensure all families, can experience this wonderful event, these school holidays,” she said.
“Not only will children be able to get up close to our dino friends but there are two fossil dig sites where children will be able to dig to find a dinosaur skeleton.
“All our dinosaurs on display have educational signage which is also available via an audio recording on the Wilson Botanic website post event.”
Guests are encouraged to bring warm clothes or blankets for a special movie night, with lawn games and food trucks along with a screening of Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.
