Man trapped for hour in crash car

By LACHLAN MOORHEAD AND CAM LUCADOU-WELLS

A MAN in his seventies has been taken to hospital after crashing a car into a car park off Langmore Lane, Berwick, this afternoon.
The silver hatchback careered off the lane, crashing into a tree and bushes in the Melbourne Pathology car park about 1.40pm.
SES and CFA crews spent an hour cutting the man – who was conscious and breathing – out of the vehicle.
Witnesses said the vehicle pinballed off two cars first on the left then the right of Langmore Lane then seemed to accelerate as it mounted the car park kerb.
The vehicles’ wheels were still spinning as the car came to rest, witnesses said.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the man was being transported to Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition.
