A leader in the making

By DANI ROTHWELL

ALICIA Munn has been recognised as a leader in her school and local community.
She has been awarded the Community, Spirit and Leadership award from Narre Warren South MP Judith Graley.
The award is presented to Grade 4 students at local primary schools who have the potential to play a leadership role in their community.
“Alicia is an outstanding young woman who is already stepping up as a leader both at school and in the local community,” Ms Graley said.
“She is a fantastic role model for her classmates as she is always willing to take on extra responsibility and help out those in need.
“I have no doubt that Alicia will continue to excel and take on an important leadership role within our community.”
Alicia’s teachers are particularly proud of her as well.
“Alicia is a confident and caring student, she exhibits exceptional initiative and motivation, she accepts responsibility and takes on additional responsibility without being asked,” they said.
“She always watches out for her peers in and outside the classroom. Alicia is very focused on her learning, but approaches her learning with humour and is balanced in her approach to school and extra-curricular activities.”
Alicia’s award is the first that Ms Graley has presented this year.
