Stolen car used in burglary bid

A CAR stolen from a Berwick house while the occupants were asleep was allegedly used in another attempted burglary in the neighbourhood the night after.
Offenders entered the Whistler Drive home just after 2am on Saturday 29 August and took keys to a Holden station wagon which they stole.
It’s understood the stolen car was then used in another attempted burglary between 11pm on Saturday 29 and 9am on Sunday 30 August at a property in Ridgemont Drive, Berwick, but the offenders were disturbed and seen running towards the same Holden station wagon.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or make a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
