PUBLIC question time at Casey council meetings is set to undergo a facelift.
A report is listed in the agenda for the council’s Tuesday 1 December’s public meeting which recommends that the council adopt a new public question time policy which aims to “streamline” the process.
One of the main proposed changes would see council officers make “reasonable efforts” to contact people who submit questions prior to the council meeting if the question does not meet the requirements of the policy and would otherwise not be read out and answered.
Another major amendment will see it stipulated that the questions submitted focus on “an issue”.
