Money pledge for good Scouts

By CAM LUCADOU-WELLS

THE 1st Narre Warren North Scout Group has benefited from a late election promise from Liberal MP Jason Wood.
If the Coatlition Government is re-elected, the group’s 82-year-old hall will receive $50,000 towards stage two of its upgrade.
The hall, which is a multi-purpose facility for both the Scouts and the broader community, was recently re-opened after six months of major works.
The new funding would go towards two room extensions and more accessible driveway access for a growing number of users.
“As a former Queen’s Scout myself, I understand the huge value that Scouting facilities have for our community,” Mr Wood said.
“They provide a space for young people and families to get together, form bonds and learn valuable life lessons in a safe environment.”
