STUDENTS from Fountain Gate Primary School and Dandenong Valley Special School have teamed together for a profound live dance and music performance.
Led by the award-winning Rawcus Theatre Company, the students were encouraged to explore their imaginations in an intensive regime of workshops and rehearsals over three terms for the show In Our Shoes.
During the process, the school’s grade five leaders were chosen to teach students in other classes.
Teacher Amy Harrington said family and friends watching the performance were also encouraged to take part in the show on 19 October.
“This was a lovely experience and it was beautiful to see the school community getting involved.”
The show explored themes of creativity, expression, diversity and a sense of belonging.
