Nude nuts raise $2500

By Cam Lucadou-Wells

Three students at Don Bosco Primary School have denuded their skulls and doorknocked as part of a $2500 fund-raiser for cancer research.
Oliver Hann, Lucas Stephens and Brady Bowman raised the stunning amount for World’s Greatest Shave at their school and junior football clubs.
Their efforts included organising a lolly-number guessing competition and a sausage sizzle as their heads were shaved on 4 May.
Oliver’s mum Joanne said her determined son came up with the idea in response to a family friend being diagnosed with lymphoma and the recent death of a relative.
“We said are you sure you really want to do this?
“But Oliver did some research on cancers on the internet, which motivated him more.
“We’re very proud of their efforts.”
