Man bashed in Hampton Park road-rage

A 22-year-old Cranbourne man has been hospitalised after a road-rage assault at Hampton Park.
Police are calling for witnesses into the attack at Pound and Shrives roads, about 8.40pm on 9 November.
Police said that s verbal argument had occurred between the male driver of a white Ford Territory and the victim after their vehicles pulled to a stop at the intersection.
Earlier, the victim had reportedly overtaken the Territory on Pound Road.
As the victim got out of his car at the lights, the Territory driver allegedly struck him to the head.
The victim was assaulted as he fell to the ground. His legs were kicked out from under him as he attempted to stand, police said.
The victim was treated in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The offender fled the scene in the Territory.
Police are calling for witnesses, including those with dash-cam footage.
