A 19-YEAR-OLD from Springvale has been charged with false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentionally causing injury over an incident near Kidds Road, Doveton, on Sunday.
Police said that at 12.30am, the teenager was in a car and produced a knife and demanded money from his 17-year-old passenger, who refused.
The Springvale teenager then assaulted the passenger and drove to another location in Greater Dandenong where more threats were made.
The victim escaped from the car and called Triple -zero.
The 19-year-old teenager was arrested and charged and was due to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 14 February.
