GATEWAY Industries, which helps people with disabilities enter the workforce, is holding its annual dinner in March, to raise money for more equipment.
Employees are drawn from the City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey and Cardinia Shire Council to fill positions in gardening, cleaning, assembly work and maintenance.
Assembly work takes place within Gateway Industries and other positions rely on outside contracts with councils and other organisations.
The organisation was started in 1983 by the Rotary Club of Dandenong and the club still supports it. The Gateway Industries second annual dinner will be held at Clover Cottage, Berwick, on 16 March at $60 per head.
