Talent shines at carnival

MANY talented localyouth are set to shine at the upcoming Casey Kids Carnival, to be held at Akoonah Park in Berwick on the 19 March 2011 from 10am to4pm.
Performers from across the municipality aged from as young as five through to young adults will showcase their skills and talents throughout the event.
City of Casey mayor Shar Balmes has praised the event for offering local young talent the chance to perform.
“The carnival is now in its 13th year and it’s bigger and better than ever. I encourage local families and young people to come along and have a great day out,” she said.
City of Casey manager community strengthening Janette Green said: “There’s so much fun to be had and, with free entry, the price is right.”
Kid’s activities and rides will be held throughout the day in addition to workshops, a native Australian animal farm and animals from Casey’s Myuna Farm.
An infants and toddler zone will also operate, as will a sporting zone where various community groups will conduct activities.
