Holidays full of fun

HUNDREDS of young people from around Casey enjoyed a range of fun-filled activities over the autumn school holiday break.
The City of Casey arranged a number of free and low-cost activities during the school holidays including go-karting, laserforce and visits to Luna Park and Werribee Open Range Zoo.
The council also had a great response to its ‘Holiday Fun Program’ held at City of Casey Youth Information Centres across the municipality.
City of Casey acting manager youth and family services Cathie Arndt said she was delighted by the number of young residents who took the opportunity to enjoy the activities offered.
“The City of Casey had a wonderful response to our range of activities these school holidays,” she said.
“More and more parents and young people are taking advantage of the opportunity to have some low-cost fun in a safe, supervised environment.”
Each school holiday period, the City of Casey offers a diverse range of activities for young people including free movies and craft days, ice skating, hip hop classes, and rock climbing.
Activities are fully supervised by qualified council youth services officers, and are smoke, drug and alcohol free.
The City of Casey will hold more school holiday sessions during the winter break. Activities and booking forms will be posted on the City of Casey website at www.casey.vic.gov.au by early June.
