LANG LANG GOLF

It was a week to remember at Lang Lang Golf Club with strong fields, impressive scores and a standout double from Lee Andrews.

Andrews (25) was the star of Wednesday’s competition, carding 36 points to take the win and adding a flourish by claiming nearest the pin on both the fifth and 15th holes.

She then returned on Saturday to secure C Grade honours with 40 points, confirming her place as one of the week’s top performers.

Tuesday’s event went the way of John Oates (17) with 36 points, while on Thursday Chris Caig (28) flew the flag for the ladies, topping the field with an excellent 39 points.

The Two-Ball Best Ball was taken out by Michael Quinn and Sharon Cox on 47 points.

Saturday was a bumper day, with 189 players in the competition and more than 200 on course.

Greg Mitchell (12) prevailed in A Grade with 39 points, while Grant Ryan (18) lit up B Grade with a commanding 41 points.

Sunday’s smaller field rounded out the week, as Simon Vigilante (17) scored 34 points before the course was handed over to the Kooweerup Cricket Club for their afternoon event.

It was another outstanding week of golf at Lang Lang, marked by big numbers, fine play, and some inspiring individual efforts.
