Wandin remains the team to beat in the Outer East Premier Division after the Bulldogs survived a scare from Olinda Ferny Creek in the second semi-final on Saturday.
The Bulldogs were in front at quarter time and halftime at Healesville, before surrendering the lead late in the third term.
The Bloods booted the last five goals to end the third quarter, holding a narrow four-point buffer at the final change.
But the class of the Bulldogs shone through, with Aaron Mullett nothing short of stellar as he finished the day with eight majors to swing the match back onto Wandin’s terms.
The Bulldogs managed five goals to one in the last, punching their ticket to the big dance with a gritty 13.8(86) to 9.11(65) win.
Cody Hirst was also fantastic for the victors, slotting three majors to pair with 18 disposals.
The result has set up a rematch between Olinda Ferny Creek and Woori Yallock as the Tigers came through clutch to get past Monbulk.
A tightly-contested contest at Yarra Junction Reserve played out with lead changes happening throughout the day.
The Hawks led by a point at three quarter time after trailing by three at the main intermission, before Woori Yallock flipped gears in the fourth.
Monbulk grabbed the first of the last to hold a seven-point advantage before Alex Marsh goaled twice.
Superstar Zach Monkhorst slotted a third consecutive major for the Tigers; a streak that eventually became five thanks to efforts from Kane Thompson and Kody Busoli.
This game-saving sequence boosted the 9.13(67) to 5.11(41) Woori Yallock triumph.
Wandin is through to the grand final and will be a spectator to Sunday’s prelim between Olinda Ferny Creek and Woori Yallock at Gembrook Reserve.
