A rising basketballer headlines Gippsland’s boys 2025 V-Line Cup squads.
Announced last week, the squads bring together the best under-15 talent from across Gippsland, and they will have the opportunity to play against the best players from other country regions around the state.
There are two boys squads – Division 1 and Division 2 – and one girls squad.
Ollie Muir, well known in basketball circles as a rising player from Warragul Warriors having played at the National Junior Championships and Under-16 National Championships in 2025, features despite having limited opportunities to play footy in recent times.
Bunyip’s grand final bound under-16 side has three players in the squads: Clancy Cunningham and Lenny Clark in Division 1 and Tyler Sutton in Division 2.
Jesse Moschetti, brother of 2022 Gippsland Power skipper Mitch, also features.
The boys Division 1 side will be coached by Frankston VFL assistant coach Tim McGibney and the Division 2 side by Nar Nar Goon senior coach Shaun Sparks
