Two charged with burglaries

ONE month after being arrested and charged for a string of burglaries in Dandenong, a Narre Warren woman has been re-arrested.
Detective Sergeant Dean Hayes of Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit said the woman was arrested on 25 July as part of Operation Townhouse and was re-arrested on Tuesday 16 August at Dandenong Plaza for other home burglaries.
She has been charged with a total of 23 burglary charges, five thefts, handling stolen goods, proceeds of crime and drug related offences.
A Dandenong man was charged with 35 burglaries and other dishonesty offences.
Police said they would face the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 3 October.
Det Sgt Hayes said it was important residents securely locked their properties and to call police if home owners or neighbours saw anything suspicious.
