In a modern day Cinderella story, police are searching for the owners of two pairs of boots that were recently donated to a charity shop in Casey, with a valuable item left in them.
Photos released by police depict one of the boots as cream coloured knee high ugg-like slippers.
The other is a pair of purple lined ankle length slippers.
Police say they will not be releasing further information including the location of the charity shop so they can determine the rightful owner.
Whoever calls ownership, must provide proof and be able to accurately answer questions about it.
