THE children at Narre Warren North Kindergarten celebrated its 40th birthday with lots of activities and delicious cake this week.
They played games, including musical chairs, musical statues and pin the nose on the clown.
The 54 children from two classes also put their handprints on a banner, which was hung up on the classroom wall.
President of the kindergarten Lisa Brooks said the children are enjoying the week-long celebrations.
“The mayor came yesterday (Wednesday), and helped the children plant a tree out the front of the kindergarten,” she said.
“It’s been a fun party week for the children and I think being part of the 40 years’ celebration is definitely a highlight for everyone.”
City of Casey Mayor Shar Balmes said she had lots of fun playing with the children.
“I helped the children plant the tree and we all sang happy birthday to the kinder together,” she said.
“I was thrilled to be part of their celebrations and I look forward to seeing them be part of the community for the next 40 years.”
