ALMOST $1million will be used to improve works at four black spots in the City of Casey.
The Federal Government will provide $945,250 in funding to install a splitter island and line marking at Inglis and Buchanan roads in Berwick, to install a new roundabout at Hutchinson Drive and Lynbrook Drive in Lynbrook, for modifications to the roundabout at Greaves Road and The Avenue in Narre Warren South as well as to construct a right turn lane at Ernst Wanke Road and Amber Crescent in Narre Warren.
Two applications from Casey Council to VicRoads for improvements were unsuccessful.
Those submissions were for Greaves Road shoulder sealing between Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road and Jindalee Court and for the provision of turning lanes on Ernst Wanke Road between Newhaven Drive and Amber Crescent. Council has revised and resubmitted their submission for the Greaves Road improvements.
Works for improvements at the four locations will be delivered through the 2011/12 Capital Works Program.
