Clothing store turns one

RESIDENTS are invited to the Berwick Clothing and Homemade Market to celebrate its first birthday.
The market, which runs on the third Sunday of every month, sells pre-loved women’s, men’s, children’s and babies’ clothing and various crafts by local artisans such as jewellery and cards.
Organiser Sue Verhey said the unique market was good for both stallholders and shoppers and was under cover to beat bad weather.
“It’s a way of people cleaning out their cupboards and having a stall and make some extra money,” she said.
“Lots of people have either made or pre-loved things and it’s great for families and young people, for those who are looking for something a bit quirky and different.”
She said the market will also be a great option for those who are looking to start their Christmas shopping, with affordable prices and something to suit everybody.
“Come along and bring your friends – it’s a great market to shop at,” Ms Verhey said.
The Berwick Clothing and Homemade Market will be held inside the Berwick Leisure Centre on 16 October from 9am to 2pm.
