AN ECLECTIC collection of locally produced artworks is on display as part of an exhibition at the City of Casey’s Civic Centre Art Space.
The artworks of the ’30 x 30′ collection include elaborate statement jewellery, shiny glass mosaics and soft patchwork cushion covers, which were created by members of the Cranbourne Arts and Crafts Society.
The group formed four years ago to allow arts-minded residents to meet regularly, learn new design techniques and participate in various exhibitions around the municipality.
City of Casey Mayor Sam Aziz encouraged residents to visit the exhibition, which is on until the end of this month.
“The Cranbourne Arts and Crafts Society are renowned throughout Casey for their fantastic designs produced by some of the community’s most talented artists,” Cr Aziz said.
“The artworks in this exhibit are limited to a 30 centimetre by 30 centimetre format, encouraging visitors to move closer and appreciate the careful detail in each and every piece.”
