Paint turns sticky

A NARRE Warren woman is pleading with a real estate agent to clean up paint which was sprayed on her house and laundry before Christmas.
But a spokeswoman from Stockdale and Leggo said the matter was currently being dealt with.
Belinda Flanagan, 48, sold her house, and is planning to move next month. She, however, wants paint left on her house from painters next door to be cleaned before she leaves.
Ms Flanagan said her neighbours were leasing a house from Stockdale and Leggo in Boronia, and had their fence spray painted in December. The wind caused paint to splash over Ms Flanagan’s house and laundry which was hung outside.
“Everytime I contact the company, they tell me a man is on his way to clean my house, but nothing has happened yet,” Ms Flanagan said.
“It’s very noticeable and a big job to clean. I want it done before I leave the property on 10 February.”
The Stockdale and Leggo spokeswoman said the fence was sprayed with water-based paint on 28 December, the last day before the painter went on holidays. He has since been contacted and asked to go back to the house and clean it before Ms Flanagan moves in February.
Ms Flanagan said she would like the situation to be dealt with as soon as possible and also wanted to be compensated for ruined bed sheets which were hung outside.
The Stockdale and Leggo spokeswoman said she had only recently learned of the damaged sheets and would address Ms Flanagan’s concerns as soon as possible.
