HUNDREDS of patriotic people donned their Australia Day hats and waved flags to celebrate their country last week.
Casey residents attended numerous fun and free activities for Australia Day on 26 January.
The community-run events supported by the City of Casey, were held in Hampton Park, Berwick, Tooradin, Cranbourne East and Doveton. There was a Sunset Cinema provided by the Lions Club of Balla Balla, A Day of Nations event provided by the Hampton Park Progress Association, which featured a special appearance by the Royal Australia Air Force Roulettes, celebrations at Pioneers Park, a Passport to Casey’s Cultural Heritage Showcase provided by the Cultural Historical Association of Rodriguans and Mauritians in Victoria (C.H.A.R.M) and an Actively Diverse Day run by the Doveton Eumemmerring Township Association.
