All friends together

Narre Warren South Prep-12 School student Kimi will take part in the Cook Island dancing performance
NARRE Warren South P-12 College will host its annual Festival of Friendship tonight to promote relationships in the community.
Assistant principal Kerri Bolch said students from Lynbrook Primary School and Lyndhurst Secondary College had been planning and working together to ensure students were learning how to develop caring and supportive relationships.
“Our students are learning to appreciate the benefits of living in a multicultural community and to value the qualities each individual brings to our local neighbourhoods.
“Many activities are available for families to join together and participate in,” she said.
The festivities kick off at 4pm and finish at 7pm.
There will be a host of fun activities including a jumping castle and sausage sizzle.
During the festival, families will become aware of a range of clubs, community organisations and businesses in their local area.
“The festival brings together people in our local school communities in friendship,” she said.
Last year, 3000 people attended the event.
Casey councillor Lorraine Wreford and Narre Warren South MP Dale Wilson will attend tonight along with community radio station CASEY 3SER, who will be broadcasting from the college.
