Walls with character

POKEMON has taken over Fountain Gate Primary School with the opening of the school’s Pokemon Plaza this month.
Three creative parents at the school and art teacher Libby Raven have helped transform some of the school’s walls into a mural featuring the popular Japanese cartoon characters.
Last week April Palmer, Susan Collins and Maree Parnall were thanked for their creative input and hard work when they were presented with a certificate of appreciation.
Ms Drew said the mural had helped brighten up the school and was now a muchloved attraction, drawing a lot of attention and comment.
“It looks great and has really brightened up the school.
“All of the high school kids have come along and had a look and have made some suggestions and the little kids just love it,” she said.
