KINDERGARTENS and childcare centres across Casey look set to share $170,000 in grants to boost safety, buy equipment and improve general amenities.
Narre Warren North MP Luke Donnellan said a mix of non-profit long-day childcare, occasional childcare services, community-based kindergartens and outside-school-hours care services would utilise the grants.
Mr Donnellan said the funds would help upgrade outdoor play areas, buy new materials or audio-visual equipment for activities, replace furniture or provide heating or cooling. “The minor capital grants program will ensure Victorian children’s services are accessible and appealing by providing a much more pleasant and safe environment for young children in the City of Casey to play, learn and grow,” he said.
Tarlina Children’s Centre, Hartley Ridge Preschool and Berwick Neighbourhood centre (used by Timbarra Playgroup) are just a few centres to have received the financial assistance to improve health, education, safety and children services.
