Schools’ facelift funded

CASEY schools are set for a face-lift following the announcement of a State Government grant last week.
Eleven schools will collectively receive just over $360,000 to address their most urgent maintenance needs as part of a $50 million statewide cash boost for school maintenance.
Schools to receive funds include Hallam, Harkaway, James Cook, Mossgiel Park and Maramba primary schools.
Narre Warren North Primary School will receive a large piece of the funding with $61,800 to be spent on maintenance works.
Eumemmerring Secondary College will receive $158, 582 and Southern Cross in Endeavour Hills will also receive $45, 567.
Thomas Mitchell, Oatlands and Timbarra primary schools will also receive maintenance grants.
Planned maintenance works include roofing, asphalting, electrical and plumbing upgrades.
Narre Warren North MP Luke Donnellan said the announcement was fantastic news for students, parents and schools.
The extra money will be provided to schools before the end of the month.
