EXCITED students at an Endeavour Hills Primary School have been swept up in World Cup fever.
The sport’s storeroom at Thomas Mitchell Primary School has been stripped of soccer balls because many students are hooked on the sport and keen to polish their ball skills.
Students have enjoyed a week of soccer skills, working on their goal kicking, throw-ins and short and long kicking.
Physical education teacher Faye Cunningham said many students were extremely excited about the World Cup and some were keen to join local soccer teams.
Avid soccer fans have also been coming to school bleary-eyed after staying up late to watch games.
“They are all hooked. All the soccer balls have gone from the store room and all the kids are stoked about it (World Cup),” she said.
