Help sought over hit-run

POLICE were seeking witnesses this week to a collision in Doveton last week that has left an 18-year-old woman in a coma.
Senior Constable John Diamond of Casey’s Traffic Management Unit said police had received conflicting witness accounts following the collision, which occurred about 8.30pm last Monday week at the intersection of Liquidamber and Power roads.
He encouraged any other witnesses to come forward and said police would be speaking to the woman when she regained consciousness.
As reported in last week’s News, emergency crews worked for more than an hour to free the woman after the driver’s side of her car struck a tree.
Anyone who witnessed the incident can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Casey TMU, phone 9705 3111.
