Knife girl hits milkbar

A TEENAGE girl held up a milk bar in Hampton Park on Sunday morning.
The owner of the Somerville Road Convenience Store was shocked when the girl produced a knife after entering the store at 8.50am.
Cranbourne police said the girl entered the store just after 8.20am but did not buy anything.
She later returned, pulling a knife from her pants and demanded the storeowner hand over cash.
The man, 33, who lives at the rear of the shop, handed money over and the girl fled south along Clive Street.
The girl was described as about 16 or 17 years old, Caucasian, 155 centimetres, with a fair complexion.
Anyone who may have seen someone matching this description should contact Detective Senior Constable Simon Lee-Steere of Franston Embona Taskforce on 9784 5541.
