Coach back in harness

FOUNTAIN Gate Cricket Club has announced the re-appointment of Brad Francis as its senior coach for the 2006-2007 season.
Francis, who led Fountain Gate into the Turf 2 finals last season, is one of the premier batsmen in the DDCA. He said he was delighted to be staying at Fountain Gate and was looking forward to the new season with great optimism.
“We have a great mix of established senior cricketers and an exciting group of young players coming through the ranks of the club,” he said.
“It’s a professional and friendly club and we welcome new players on board in the senior grades and the junior age divisions if they want to come down and try out.”
Fountain Gate seniors are training at Casey Sports every Friday evening from 6.30pm.
Registration Day for all junior age teams is at Max Pawsey Pavilion, Fountain Gate (adjacent to the shopping centre) from 4.30pm on Tuesday 12 September. For further information contact Shane Scanlon, Ph 0437 199935.
