Police are investigating a crash in Doveton on Sunday night in which a car hit a power pole. Picture courtesy Keith Pakenham, CFA.AN Endeavour Hills man had a lucky escape on Sunday night when his car hit a power pole in Doveton.
The collision occurred about 11pm on Power Road, near Greens Road, when the 26-year-old’s Holden Commodore sedan hit a power pole head-on, bringing down the pole and attached street lighting.
Paramedics treated the driver at the scene and police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Dandenong Fire Brigade responded to the call along with the Hallam Fire Brigade.
Fire crews waited for the power company to arrive and isolate the power before moving the pole and car.
